A Personal Welcome from Supervisor Kevin Jeffries
Since being elected over 6 years ago, I have been a strong, independent voice on behalf of taxpayers, residents, and small businesses. Protecting and respecting your hard earned tax dollars often leads me to challenge the status quo and oppose wasteful spending.
I have personally refused to accept all pay increases, and declined a taxpayer funded pension.
I have rejected accepting stipends (payments) to attend other government meetings.
I have been the leading critic of extravagant consulting fees & lobbying firms.
I have put residents, families and small businesses first, while working to protect our quality of life.
Our county government must be more accountable, efficient, and transparent, while improving essential community services. During our tough budget times I have fought to maintain adequate public safety services across the county, improved community centers, parks, veterans services, animal control services, and started paving rural neighborhood streets again. We must, however, remain focused on helping the private sector create good local jobs, making significant improvements to our local roads and freeways, improving 911 response times, and finding permanent solutions for our homeless camps.
I had the honor to serve Riverside County for 29 years as a volunteer firefighter & Captain, resident since 1971, raised a family, and built our family businesses here in Riverside County.
In closing, with the March 2020 Primary election just around the corner, please take a look at our list of Highlights 2013 – 2019, as well as the page on Current Issues that we are fighting for, and of course please consider joining with us to maintain a strong independent voice in the First District office. I sincerely appreciate your support as we prepare for the 2020 election. I humbly ask for your vote.
