2012: JEFFRIES ANNOUNCES FREE RECEPTION BEFORE SWEARING-IN
Supervisor-Elect Jeffries, Supervisor Stone to co-host event at CAC, 8am on January 8th
Riverside: Supervisor-Elect Kevin Jeffries and Supervisor Jeff Stone are inviting the public to attend a free reception preceding their joint swearing-in ceremony on January 8th. The reception will start at 8am in the 5th Floor Lobby/Conference Room areas, and the swearing-in ceremony will be held at 9am in the Supervisor’s Board Room at the County Administrative Center (CAC)
on 4080 Lemon Street, in Downtown Riverside.
Supervisor-Elect Kevin Jeffries will be sworn into his newly elected 1st District Office by Retired Superior Court Judge Dallas Holmes, while 3rd District Supervisor Stone will be sworn in for his third term on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.
“Supervisor Stone and I wanted to give the opportunity for our friends and supporters to come celebrate with us with some coffee, juice and pastries ahead of our swearing-in ceremony on January 8th,” said Jeffries. “This is not a fundraiser or a political event, but merely an opportunity to thank those who helped us get here and meet with other well-wishers before we all head downstairs for my first Board Meeting. The public is obviously welcome to come to the Board Meeting as well, or can simply stay for the ceremony at the beginning before leaving.”
No RSVPs are necessary for this reception.
Supervisor-Elect Jeffries also plans to hold an open house/reception in Southwest Riverside in the future district office planned for Lake Elsinore, but date, time, and location for that event are unknown at this time.
Riverside County Supervisor-Elect Kevin Jeffries will represent the 1st District, including the Cities of Riverside, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, and Wildomar, and unincorporated communities including Woodcrest, Lake Mathews, Mead Valley, Perris Valley, Temescal Valley, Good Hope, Lakeland Village, La Cresta, and DeLuz
