Jeffries Endorsed By Top Law Enforcement Group
(Riverside, CA) – Kevin Jeffries announced today that his campaign for Riverside County Supervisor (1st District) has received the endorsement of the Riverside County Deputy District Attorneys’ Association.
The Riverside County Deputy District Attorneys’ Association proudly fights to keep our communities safe, to address the suffering of crime victims, and to relentlessly fight for justice. “It’s a real honor for me to receive their endorsement,” said Jeffries.
In announcing the endorsement of Jeffries, Association Vice President Mike Herstrin said, “Kevin Jeffries has a long track record of being tough on crime and he strongly opposes the release of 33,000 felons from our state prisons. We trust him to help protect our communities and to fight for crime victims and their families.”
The announcement is yet another strong showing of Jeffries’ early momentum in the 1st district Supervisorial race. By the end of July, Jeffries had raised nearly $229,000 and has been endorsed by seven (7) area Mayors, 60 current and former local elected and public safety officials and nearly 100 community and business leaders according to Stacy Nicola with the Jeffries campaign.
“Public safety is the first and foremost responsibility of Government. I will fight to ensure that our police, fire, and county prosecutors have the resources they need to keep our neighborhoods safe during these tough budget times,” explained Jeffries.
Jeffries began his long-time service to the citizens of Riverside County by becoming a Riverside County volunteer firefighter in 1977. During his 29 years of service to our county, he worked side-by-side with law enforcement and responded to over 4,000 emergency responses throughout Riverside County and was ultimately promoted to the rank of Volunteer Fire Captain.
