Only 61 Days Till June 5th - But Who's Counting?
Dear Friends & Supporters,
GAME TIME! This Thursday, April 5th, is our big campaign reception during Opening Night at the Diamond Stadium with the Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball Team. This is one political reception that lots of supporters enjoy attending. Well over 100 supporters and sponsors will join us for this fun night of some fundraising, some political discussions and lots of great baseball. If you have already RSVP’d – make sure we have the names of the attendees. Don’t forget to enter at the Diamond Clubhouse (third base side of the parking lot). Email your names to: Chris@KevinJeffries.com
SIGNS OF SUPPORT! Would you like a Jeffries for Supervisor campaign yard sign at your home or business? If so, just drop us an email with your information and we will arrange to get a sign or two to you. If your home or business is on a very busy road we have larger signs as well. Please remember that the property must be in or near the (new) First District. You can email your sign request to: Chris@KevinJeffries.com
VOLUNTEER! Do you have some time to spare to help bring about a new direction and renewed energy on the Board of Supervisors? During these final 60 days, if you have a few hours to spare during the week or weekend, we would like to have you join the Team. Delivering signs, walking precincts, making phone calls at your leisure, helping at the Southwest campaign headquarters, or even hosting a small reception at your home or office – we would be honored to have your assistance. Just email your information to: Brittaney@KevinJeffries.com
THE ISSUES! As Election Day nears, the issues come into focus, as do the candidates. My wife and I have personally walked to well over 7000 homes, and our volunteers have walked thousands more. Jobs, Public Safety, Roads, Private Property Rights, Protecting Our Quality Of Life, an Open & Transparent First District Office, and of course Pension Reform - including the pensions of elected County Supervisors (that reach or exceed six figures just for being elected), have been at the top of many of your concerns.
With the Incumbent having already served twenty years (five terms!), many of you have expressed a desire for new leadership. You want a First District Office that will be open, return your phone calls, willing to listen, and willing to shake-up the bureaucracy that seems to have forgotten that it works for you – not the other way around.
GET READY! Our fundraising has done very well – THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us! We have put your contributions to good work in the most cost effective manner possible to win on June 5th. The media recently reported that all three candidates have roughly the same funding on hand for the final days. However, get ready for the last minute big bucks to start pounding away in order to defend either the status quo, or to help labor groups get a seat at the Board of Supervisors negotiating table. I intend to stay out of the mud and stay on the issues that matter – but rest assured I will defend myself when necessary and your support can help me do just that during the final 60 days!
If you’d like to help, please send your contribution to: Kevin Jeffries For Supervisor, 4201 Brockton Ave, Ste 100, Riverside CA 92501.
Thank you for supporting the campaign.
Small Business Owner
P.S. I have been a small business owner for nearly 30 years, managing various commercial and residential properties owned by my wife and I (and other members of our family). The Incumbent, using a law firm from San Francisco, is suing his own Riverside County Registrar of Voters demanding that a Judge remove my occupational title of “Small Business Owner”. The judge will decide next week if the Incumbent will be allowed to re-write my occupation on the ballot and my candidate statement contained in the forthcoming Sample Ballot. Stay tuned!
I’m proud to be endorsed by:
Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, Riverside County Farm Bureau, California Small Business Association, Riverside County Deputy District Attorneys Association, Inland Valleys & Southwest Riverside County Association of REALTORS, and the National Tax Limitation Committee.
The above is a partial list – please see our website.
