Campaign Financial Reports Surprise Everyone!

Door-To-Door Walking Continues

Dear Friends & Supporters,

This past week, the Jeffries for Supervisor campaign received a very nice surprise that shocked the old political establishment across Riverside County.

As most of you know, my chief opponent is a long-time incumbent. By all accounts, an incumbent who has been raising campaign funds for literally the past 20 years should be hundreds of thousands of dollars ahead of our campaign. Incredibly a recent news article disclosed that our two campaigns are not hundreds of thousands apart – but actually neck and neck at only $35,000 apart! Our fund raising for the past 12 months put us right on target to start the year with $227,000 cash on hand.

With just four (4) months until the June 5th election, this article confirmed that we are connecting with voters and supporters at a level that no other challenger has done for years. Additionally, when a challenger is doing this well one thing you can be assured of – political attack ads will be just around the corner by those who want to protect the status-quo or those who want to flex their political muscle (and unlimited check-books).

To counter the anticipated attacks and to get our positive message out, our Meet & Greet receptions will continue all across the First District as will our fund raising events. We have to be prepared to respond, defend and deliver our message of Jobs – Not Taxes, reform and accountability, protection of our private property rights and our quality of life, as well as maintaining the professional and ethical standards that all taxpayers deserve from their representative.

Last month I reported on my (good-old-fashioned) door-to-door campaigning. I am extremely pleased to report that I am now closing in on knocking on my 6000th door! I have personally walked neighborhoods from Riverside to Woodcrest, Lake Mathews to Temescal Canyon, Lake Elsinore to Canyon Lake, and from Wildomar into the beautiful rural areas of La Cresta, Tenaja and DeLuz.

On Saturday, March 3rd at 11:00am, we will have the Grand Opening of our Southwest Campaign Headquarters. Please join us at 11:00am for the ribbon cutting (or anytime from 10am till 3pm). The address is 31861 Mission Trail, Lake Elsinore, near Diamond Drive & I-15 (near the stadium).

Please check the campaign website (www.KevinJeffries.com) for updates and announcements. Thank you again for your support.

Respectfully,

Kevin Jeffries
